Presentació de l’Observatori 0-17 BCN, vides i drets de la infància i l’adolescència a la ciutat

2016-2017 | This project proposes to identify, systematise and analyse transformative experiences involving the social and political participation of children and adolescents in the neighbourhoods of Barcelona.

The aim of this programme is to improve knowledge around and conduct regular analyses of the lives and rights of children and teenagers in Barcelona, with a view to strengthening local policies affecting this life phase of citizens aged from 0 to 17.

Incorporating the viewpoints of children and favouring their active citizenship, the programme “The Children Have Their Say” is a municipal action for ascertaining and enabling improvement of the wellbeing of children in the city of Barcelona.

We generate knowledge to develop city strategies that expand, improve and diversify opportunities for play in the public space for children and teenagers, contributing towards a better community life.

As a bridge between research and policy, we participate in the drawing up of measures and plans for governance, and contribute a children’s view in different groups and workspaces.

Educational Opportunities for Children and Teenagers in Barcelona is a line of work that aims to provide elements for the situation assessment of education in the city of Barcelona, while identifying challenges and action proposals for local policy.

Through the line of work on “Participation of children and teenagers: the voices we must listen to and take into account” we are supporting the administration in projects and channels for the participation of children and teenagers.
