What do we do?

Research those local policies that affect children and adolescents, as well as their actual experiences, seeking a balance between diagnoses, proposals and assessment, emphasising participative methodologies, from concrete and prospective experiences.

• Generate and systematise qualitative and quantitative data and diagnoses on children, always keeping their narratives in mind.
• Draft proposals for local policies and strategic improvements based on proof and comparative analyses with cities around the world.
• Identify strategic improvement areas in local policies for children by assessing the impact of services and programmes.

Enrich social debates by sharing data, narratives, analyses and knowledge, and working with citizens who are both minors and adults, and institutions in the scope of the local administration, research and social organisations in Barcelona and throughout the world.

• Promote and participate at conferences and debates to nourish and add to social accounts and stories, using the knowledge generated and a focus on rights.
• Work with children and adolescents from their perspective in order to foster empowerment processes.
• Strengthen collaborative knowledge and make data, narratives, analyses and proposals available, controlling social return.

Favouring best strategies and measures to promote and protect children and adolescents, by employing an equality and citizen centred approach, in policies on citizens (both pre-distributive and redistributive).

• Contributing in the creation of a common public agenda that contributes to children exercising their rights in the local arena.
• Assisting and participating in strategic changes that improve children's and adolescents' lives with local policy measures and pilot projects.
• Providing a new perspective on children in the processes and spaces for creating key public policies and maximising their visibility.
